Micro House

A package of renewal and extension works for a 40 sq/m property set over two floors.

The dwelling had not been modernised for over 40 years, and had been sat vacant for over 2. The brief sought to: modernise, address issues of damp ingress, bring in natural light, maximise the available space, and maintain a small area of external patio space, all on a tight budget and an even tighter site.

The property sat within a conservation area, minimising any changes that could be made to the principle elevation. The works sought to move the bathroom from a lean-to structure in the small rear courtyard, into the dwelling.

Due to the high density of the buildings in the area, three party wall agreements had to be dealt with in order to progress the works.
